Neighbourhood Community Safety Association

NECSA was formed by residents of Erasmia Sector 1 and 2 who are tired of waiting and ready to act. We are a resident-driven initiative — not an external company — built by people who live here, raise families here, and are committed to protecting this community.

We work in close coordination with the Erasmia Police Station, giving our initiative credibility, accountability, and direct lines to law enforcement.

Our approach is proactive. We are not reacting to a crisis — we are building the infrastructure and coordination needed to prevent one from developing in the first place.

Project Phases

Completing the perimeter wall is Phase 1 of a broader, long-term plan. Each phase builds on the last — creating a layered, sustainable security infrastructure for the community.

01
In Progress
Perimeter Walling — Concrete Palisade Fence
Completing the walling of the full sector perimeter with a concrete palisade fence. A large portion is already in place — we are closing the remaining gaps to create a fully secured boundary. This is the foundation of everything that follows.
02
In Progress
Controlled Access Points
Establishing two main controlled entry points into the neighbourhood. Access control is critical to monitoring movement into and out of the sector and forms part of the broader layered security approach.
03
Upcoming
Boundary Deterrents & Invasive Planting
Supplementing the palisade fence with invasive planting and additional deterrents along the boundary line to make access even more difficult and reduce vulnerability at the perimeter.
04
Upcoming
Monitoring, Technology & Long-Term Sustainability
Introducing technology-based enhancements such as cameras and monitoring systems. Building the long-term governance and funding structures to keep NECSA operational and self-sustaining well into the future.

How to Contribute

The wall project is funded by residents on a shared-cost model. Every household that contributes is investing directly in the safety and property value of their own home and neighbourhood.

Our door-to-door campaign is currently underway across Sector 1 and 2. NECSA representatives will visit your home to discuss the project, answer questions, and collect your contribution and household information.

Power of Attorney

Residents are asked to sign a Power of Attorney authorising NECSA to act on behalf of the community for the purposes of building, managing access control, and maintaining the secured area. This ensures we can act effectively and legally as a unified community body.

All contributions and resident data are tracked through a structured, transparent system. No household will be missed and no funds will go unaccounted for.

🚪 Door-to-Door Campaign

NECSA is actively visiting every household in Sector 1 & 2. When a representative visits you, you'll receive full project information and can ask any questions you have.

💰 Financial Contribution

The wall is funded on a shared-cost model across the community. Contact us to find out your household's contribution amount and payment arrangements.

📝 Household Data Collection

We collect structured data on each household to ensure no one is missed, track progress, and build a reliable community record for future planning.

🤝 Sign the Power of Attorney

By signing the PoA, you authorise NECSA to act legally on the community's behalf — enabling us to build, manage and maintain the secured area as a unified body.

Community Patrols

The physical wall is only one layer of our security approach. Community patrols provide a consistent human presence in the area — one of the most effective deterrents available.

NECSA coordinates all patrol activity, including rosters, volunteer assignments, and communication with response service providers. Patrol coordination is managed directly by NECSA leadership to ensure consistency and coverage.

If you are interested in volunteering for patrols, we welcome your involvement. No prior experience is necessary — just commitment to your neighbourhood.
